i-modest success
Article Abstract:
NTT DoCoMo is developing wireless internet services and should achieve 5 million subscribers in Mar 2000. There are handsets with color displays that recognize spoken commands and include plug-in keyboards allowing longer e-mails to be written. WAP offered a restricted range of services, while DoCoMo has developed a packet-switched network, and handsets have browsers that can understand the web language, HTML. Revenues have been modest, but low prices may help to build up demand.
