AMP online catalog shows way to support languages
Article Abstract:
Harrisburg, PA-based electric connector maker AMP Inc maintains a World Wide Web site that can translate words and phrases in eight different languages. The company adopts the official language of a specific country where it does business and presents each term in the database according to the language selected. To help AMP and other companies planning to integrate several languages into their Web sites, software vendors such as Global Sight and Transparent Language provide solutions. These software tools synchronize the translation of several languages in a site.
