The new Iraqi government faces a daunting task of restructuring and rebuilding a country that has suffered at the hands of Saddam Hussein, and from the present conflict and endless hostilities with other countries. Its main objectives are to settle any debts owed to other countries and establish security in the region so that it can take steps towards rebuilding the infrastructure of Iraq and bring business back to boost the economy.

The Big Four, the mid-tier firms, have expressed their intention to take on new recruits as the economy improves and the onset of regulation and new accounting standards becomes an increasing burden to deal with. They are competing for new recruits, given what their demands are particularly at the newly qualified level.
