The corporate results contain a variety of data, but this data is generally irrelevant and incomparable in most cases. Robert Howie, senior vice-president of the Balanced Scoreboard Collaborative, a consulting firm, believes that the corporate scoreboard should have methods and measures for reporting on each objective thereby making the data comparable.

The financial markets are awaiting the corporate reports with some trepidation, as the reports this year should be in accordance with the Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The object of the section is to expose the control deficiencies and many companies are expected to fail the test.
