Agfa Consumer Imaging of Ridgefield, NJ< has launched a new generation, TwinPlate DuoScan f40 flatbed/film scanner, which has a separate bed for scanning transparent originals. The debuting scanner has an optical resolution of 1,200-by-2,400 ppi, 42-bit color space, and has both FireWire and USB connectivity. Meanwhile, Agfa also introduced the SnapScan e25 scanner that offers bit color depth at 600-by-1,200 pixels per inch.

The Agfa CL34 is a 1.3-megapixel-resolution camera and has 2MB of internal memory and accepts CompactFlash memory cards. It is equipped with a fixed focal length lens, an optical viewfinder and 1.8-inch LCD screen. On the other hand, the less expensive CL20 has the same basic features, but lacks the LCD monitor.
