Article Abstract:
Lockheed Martin Corp., Denver, Colo., is being awarded a $120,521,842 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee-contract which definitizes launch operations support for the Titan II and IV launch vehicles. This effort includes acceleration of launch capability from FY 2003 to FY 2002; ground equipment upgrades at Cape Canaveral air Station, Florida, and Vandenberg Air Force Base, California; termination liability; and facility shutdown activities associated with the end of the Titan program in FY2005. Expected contract completion date is September 30, 2005. Solicitation issue date was July 26, 1996. Negotiation completion date was August 28, 1998.
