United Technologies Corp., East Hartford, Conn., was awarded on Dec. 9, 1998, a $10,541,538 fixed-price-requirements contract to provide for 42 kits to upgrade the TF-33-P102B engine to the TF-22-P102C configuration in support of the E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft. There were 13 firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is December 1999. Solicitation issue date was Sept. 3, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Nov. 25, 1998. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-98-D-0043).
