The Boeing Company, Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $248,099,594 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for the Flexible Sustainment Program in support of the C-17 aircraft through September 1999. The program places system sustainment responsibility under the C-17 prime contractor during the production phase of the program to achieve improvements in logistics support and mission readiness while reducing operating and support costs. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97-C-0008-P00031).
