Article Abstract:
The Boeing Co., Long Beach, Calif. is being awarded a $15,552,308 face value increase to a time-and-materials contract to provide for the following retrofit kits to upgrade the C-17 aircraft: 25 aeromed kits to upgrade the medical capability of the aircraft, seven cargo liner kits to upgrade the cargo hold, and six kits to upgrade the engines. The work will be performed at their plant in San Antonio, Texas (80%), and other locations. The work is expected to be completed in Dec. 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97/C-0008, P00036).
