Article Abstract:
Sterling Software, Bellevue, Neb. is being awarded a $25,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for engineering and technical support through September 2001 for the Information Handling Branch and Global Information Base Branch, Information and Intelligence Exploitation Division, Information Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y. This effort will include analytical and system feasibility studies, system design and engineering, software specification and development, simulation, test, analysis, advanced system and hardware development, rapid prototyping and system analyses. The work will be completed July 2001. There were 19 firms solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began February 1998; negotiations were completed March 1998. At this time, $299,757 of the contract funds have been obligated. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y. is the contracting activity (F30602-98/D-0318).
