All positive on Granada

Granada is involved in TV production and broadcasting as well as hotels, and has been involved in long-term change while still performing well. Six brokers which were asked about Glaxo stocks see them in a positive light. Societe Generale, which rates the stocks a buy, forecasts a profit of 740 million pounds sterling for Granada in 1998, and 810 million pounds for 1999. Merrill Lynch, Panmure Gordon, UBS and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson are also buyers, and Rowan Darlington is positive, with a profit forecast of 738 million pounds for 1998.

The company's operations include transmission facilities which looks set for expansion and has guaranteed contracts. Outside broadcast is performing well despite competition.
