Market Data Centre has set up facilities for private investors in London, England. Users have access to a dealing terminal with charting software and share prices in real time. The center is used mainly for UK FT-SE 100 future during the morning, and the S and P 500 future for the afternoon. Investors can use the center for 70 pounds sterling for a session of eight hours, one one hour for 25 pounds sterling. It is seen as suitable for futures and commodities and there are no advisers or brokers.

Derivative do's and don'ts
Article Abstract:
The Futures and Options Association (FOA) which represents derivatives traders in the UK, has issued guidelines for derivatives users. Derivatives can be useful insurance but there is pressure for company treasurers to try to use them to make a profit. Derivatives are used bu most major UK companies and trading controls have not always been set up by these companies. Trades should be reported and authority to deal should be clarified.

Names attack Norwich Union
Article Abstract:
An action group has been set up by impoverished Lloyds Names to fight against Norwich Union's attempts to regain losses on Lloyd's guarantee policies. The action group believes that the guarantees enabled members to become Names who would not otherwise have been wealthy enough. They claim tht many of the guarantees were mis-sold.
