An economic analysis of generic egg advertising in California, 1985-1995
Article Abstract:
The econometric assessment of the California egg industry from 1985 to 1995 indicates that advertising undertakings have generated a favorable effect on producer prices and net profits. The econometric model revealed that a 1% change in advertising costs led to an average 0.13% hike in producer prices and a 6.9 marginal rate of return to advertising. This means that every additional dollar invested in advertising efforts yielded $6.90 in egg producers' profits.
