Apple Computer Inc is preparing to launch its first multimedia-capable computers and new PowerBook notebook computers in Oct 1992. The multimedia computers are capable of processing audio, video, graphics, animation and text but requires compact disc-read only memory (CD-ROM) software. The computer company may include a CD-ROM dictionary, encyclopedia, thesaurus, and educational and recreational software as a package. These computers are geared towards the business and consumer markets for training or presentation purposes.
