Article Abstract:
Raytheon TI System Inc., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $414,563 increment as part of a cumulative not-to-exceed total of $49,676,724 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for design, development, fabrication and testing of the tank extended range munition (TERM). The objective is to develop a smart 120mm munition for the Abrams Tank. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, phase I (55%), phase II (76%.), and St. Petersburg, Fla., phase I (45%), and phase II (24%), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a broad agency announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on January 20, 1998, and three bids received. The contracting agency is the U.S. Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. (DAAE30-98-C-1079).

The objective is to develop a smart 120mm munition for the Abrams Tank. Work will be performed in Duluth, Ga., phase I (57.1 %), phase II (46.3%), and Hopkins, Minn., phase I (42.9%), and phase II (53.7 %), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a broad agency announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on January 20, 1998, and three bids received.
