Article Abstract:
General Dynamics Land Systems/Product Support and Services Co., Sterling Heights, Mich., is being awarded a $6,977,564 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance and supply support activities in Kuwait for the Kuwait Land Forces fleet of M1A2 Abrams Tanks, M113A3 Armored Personnel Carrier-Ambulances, M577A3 Command Post Vehicles and M88A2 Recovery Vehicles. Work will be performed in Kuwait (90%), and Sterling Heights, Mich. (10%), and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 35 bids solicited on April 28, 1995, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-C-X070).
