Article Abstract:
DynCorp, Aerospace Technology, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a cost-plus-award-fee and cost-plus-incentive-fee contract, with a base year total of $87,847,529, and a cumulative total of $456,824,371 (if all options are exercised), for aircraft maintenance and related services for the U.S. Army Aviation Center. The contractor will perform aviation unit (AVUM), aviation intermediate (AVIM, and limited depot maintenance on approximately 500 rotary wing aircraft and other aviation associated equipment for the U.S. Army Aviation Center (USAAVNC), Fort Rucker, Ala., including the U.S. Army Aviation Technical Test Center and other USAAVNC satellite activities. Work will be performed at Fort Rucker, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2003 (with four options exercised). Funding is subject to availability of funds for FY99. There were 69 bids solicited on May 22, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command, Fort Rucker, Ala. (DABT01-98-C-0014).

This effort supports foreign military sales to Portugal. Expected contract completion date is July 2006. Solicitation issue date was May 21, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Jan. 15, 1999.
