Allison Transmission Division, General Motors Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $25,746,293 modification to a firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for 124 transmission upgrades (X1100-3B) for the Abrams Upgrade Program. This action is to exercise an option for CY2000. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 11, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-97-C-T537).
