UK: CHARLES WELL TESTS NEW REAL ALE CONCEPT
Article Abstract:
Charles Wells, the UK brewer, is planning to rollout a 'Real Ale at Home' concept, which will allow cask-conditioned ale to be consumed in the home. After a long series of trials, the brewer has decided to use PET bottles to dispense the ale. The beer has to be kept in chiller units before it is dispensed. Sainsbury's is offering a free dispensing system with every two-litre purchase, costing GB[pound] 4.69 for Eagle IPA and GB[pound] 4.99 for Bombardier Bitter.
