Skoda wants a new testing centre
Article Abstract:
Skoda Auto (Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic), automotive company, plans to build a new car testing centre near Mlada Boleslav. This polygon should be placed on a total area of 300 ha and the firm plans to invest CEK 4.5 bil in the project. All the centre should be enclosed with a fence and should be watched closely. The investments in the testing centre should be recovered within three years. The polygon should be connected with a development centre with nearly 500 employees. From the point of view of the environment, the construction is problematic. SA has to cut a big part of a rare forest in the selected territory. This territory was closed for the public for nearly 100 years. That is why natural scientists consider this territory as unique. There are several protected species of animals and plants in this territory.
