Board characteristics, accounting report integrity, and the cost of debt
Article Abstract:
A study showing that the cost of debt is inversely proportionate to the board size or board independence is furnished. It is also observed that the cost of debt financing is substantially lower in the cases of business enterprises whose accounting reports are prepared by a fully independent audit committee.
