Whitten Peters, former Air Force Secretary has warned that the Boeing Co. and Northrop Grumman Corp may be compelled to withdraw from designing new military aircrafts. The United States may lose much of the capability and labor force needed to produce new aviation weapons platforms, unless they spend enough on development and design of new aircraft.
