Bonding with Loctite

Article Abstract:

Henkel is seeking to acquire a 65% stake in Loctite and already owns the remainder of the company. Loctite's board is considering the offer and does not appear enthusiastic. Loctite may have to increase its offer. The deal is seen as offering benefits such as product synergies by analysts. Henkel aims to use debt to fund the acquisition, but could also sell a stake of 17% in Degussa which is not seen as providing a strategic fit with Henkel's other operations.

The insider buying in the rubber and plastic compound manufacturer is considered most concentrated since the shares were traded in 1984. The succeeding quarters are projected to be as positive for the firm.
