Lockheed/Agusta team chooses U.S. firms in Marine one bid
Article Abstract:
The Lockheed Martin Corp/Agusta Westland team has made a move in Texas to build the next Marine One presidential transport helicopter. Agusta Westland, whose team is competing with a Sikorsky-led group for the Navy's approval as maker of the next-generation presidential helicopter, has named seven companies that it would use as suppliers if it wins the Marine One competition.

Boeing may sell MMAs abroad; it has land capability too

Program Manager for MMA with the Naval Air systems command Capt. Steve Eastberg said that the Boeing Co. might get to sell its 737 Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft(MMA) platform to overseas consumers such as Australia, Canada and Italy. The MMA can hunt enemy submarines and perform other missions.
