Canine couture
Article Abstract:
Fashionable clothing for dogs is made by Blue Ribbon Dog Co. Owner Matthew Morris, himself a dog-lover, decried the absence of functional clothes for his dogs. Vowing that no dog of his would wear what he calls campy get up, he set up his own firm which specializes in canine haberdashery. The company also markets ceramic bowls, pet carriers, and cubist bones, to name a few of the unique products it carries. All of its clothing are tested by Morris' dogs which serve as the company's quality-control team.

Article Abstract:
Many fashion designers are concerned with clothing as architecture, constructing walking shelters that are stylish and protective. Hussein Chalayan has produced a dress made of hard plastic and Alexandra Fede has produced garments made of a slash and bullet resistant cloth that looks and feels like cashmere. Japanese designer Kosuke Tsumura has produced Final Home, a range of jackets and coasts featuring many pockets in which to keep items such as safety-orange terrycloth towels and insulating pillows.
