The battle of the buses
Article Abstract:
Deregulation of bus lines in Manchester, England, has led to the elimination of some routes and some services run at night. The city needs an integrated transportation system. The two main bus companies are GM Buses North and GM Buses South, created from the sale and division of GM Buses, acquired by employees in 1994. Integration of bus and rail services is needed for customers to be able to cease to use cars, but this is unlikely due to the climate in Manchester.
