Comments on deprival value and standard setting in measurement: from a symposium to celebrate the work of Professor William T. Baxter

A symposium was held at the London School of Economics in July 2006 to honor the works and the role of Professor William T. Baxter in the field of accounting. The usage of deprival value was also discussed by former Office of Water Services Director General Sir Ian Byatt and PricewaterhouseCoopers' Peter Holgate. Accounting standards are evaluated.
