Competition and coalition among underwriters: the decision to join a syndicate
Article Abstract:
A study on hybrid syndicates organized by investment banks is presented. These syndicates are made up of commercial banks which join as co-managers. They differ from pure investment bank syndicates because they serve smaller clients with less access to capital markets. Underwriting public issues of such firms is more difficult and risky.

Does prospect theory explain IPO market behavior?
Article Abstract:
A study suggesting a behavioral analysis method to examine the level of satisfaction derived by an initial public offerings decision maker from performance of underwriters to the issue is presented. The study helps in predicting the decision maker's choice of underwriters in subsequent securities issues of the decision-maker.
