A readiness assessment is crucial for the success of work teams within organizations since it determines the appropriateness of such teams in helping organizations improve their competitive position by supporting their business strategy. The dimensions of readiness assessment include technology, management style and core competency. Some of the data collection methods that can be used in a readiness assessment are focus groups, document review and surveys. The collected data can be organized into five categories including key quotes and variables that support teams.
