Criteria for Selecting a Treasury Management System
Article Abstract:
There is a large variety of software available for integrated treasury management. Integrated treasury management is an automated system designed to support the treasury functions of a company. Four major areas make up an integrated system. These are modules that provide support for transaction control, support the accounting interface function, improve the quality of corporate decision making, and enhance corporate security. Once cash managers have familiarized themselves with the different components and software available they should apply certain criteria to select a system. First, they should define the company's needs. Then, questions must be asked about whether it is better to buy a system or design one in-house. Cost is also a factor. Try to plan for the long term when deciding on a system.
