Crowd control for accountants
Article Abstract:
Accountants faced with addressing gatherings should begin by determining who their audience is, what the audience is looking for in a presentation, what the message of the presentation will be, and how best to communicate the message of the presentation. The presentation should be created with the needs of the audience, and the speaker's technique and style in mind. The speaker would make arrangements that will ensure their comfort and convenience. When making the presentation, the speaker should treat the audience as if it were a small group, employing a chatty tone. Eye contact should be maintained, and questions should be planted to influence the audience. Pauses should be worked into the speech and individuals should be recognized. Other aspects of public speaking that should be focused on include voice level, body language, and animation.

There are several techniques that accountants can use to assure successful television and radio interviews. Before an interview begins, accountants should find out: who will be conducting the interview; what main questions will be asked; whether the interview will be live or recorded; and how long the interview will be. Suggestions for successful interviews include: concentrating on the interview; pausing before responding to questions; and being relaxed and animated.

Presentation for the professional
Article Abstract:
Public speaking skills are essential for presenting accounting proposals and promoting business. Sitting in a relaxed position, looking the audience in the eye and projection of the voice all show relaxed confidence. The speech should be clear and organized so that ideas flow smoothly together. Before making a presentation the speaker should check that all visual aids are organized.
