Custom design of metabolism
Article Abstract:
The most important and systematic move towards the metabolic engineering and synthetic gene circuits is identified with the help of metabolic-network-on-a-chip and the artificial riboswitch platforms. Thus these developments ensure that a custom design of metabolism would reach new heights.

Identification of co-regulated genes through Bayesian clustering of predicted regulatory binding sites
Article Abstract:
The identification of co-regulated genes and their transcription-factor binding sites (TFBS) are key steps toward understanding transcription regulation. The findings indicate that Bayesian motif clustering (BMC) produces many fewer errors than hierarchical and K-means clustering methods.

Replicators lessen transcriptional silencing
Article Abstract:
A new strategy for overcoming the transcriptional silencing of transgenes that relies on human replicator sequences, the DNA sequences that dictate initiation of DNA replication, is described. The DNA replicator sequences might be used to improve the efficiency and safety of gene therapy.
