Database marketing cuts costs of 'blitzkrieg' approach
Article Abstract:
The benefits and limitations of data base marketing is discussed. The benefits derived from data base marketing include the capability of the system to provide more specific and accurate information on consumers. This reduction in customer base results in reduction of the cost of advertising and marketing expenses. The increase in the accuracy of information regarding consumers' needs contributes to marketing success. The data base marketing, however, requires a long-term commitment before it becomes fully operational.
