Turkey's rapid economic recovery is attributed to its new economy minister, Kemal Dervis, who has managed to bring down interest rates, inspired a surge in the stock market and brought about a stable lira after a devaluation. The International Monetary Fund has approved a huge loan which allows access to foreign funds totaling $19 billion.
