United States posted higher trade deficit of $225 million for fourth quarter 2005. The impact of lower net capital flow on trade deficit, following decline in dollar value, is discussed. The findings of United States Treasure are presented.

Dollar regains composure, but little has changed

In early March 2004, the US dollar rebounded sharply, being the biggest jump in a year against the Euro but there was not much change in the fundamental economic news. The Euro and Japanese yen had fallen sharply in early March.
