Drugs in crops-the unpalatable truth
Article Abstract:
The variety of crops includes genetically modified wheat; corn and others among them that re used as an herbicide or in production of biopharmaceuticals are discussed. The problem in the production of drugs or drug intermediates in food or feed crop species bears the danger that pharmaceutical substance will enter into the food chain through grain admixture or some other mix up of crops for food and crops for drugs.

China pushes liver proteomics
Article Abstract:
The Chinese government invested in the human liver proteome project (HLPP) to address the serious health issues of chronic hepatitis C (liver diseases) that is widespread in China. A new research center called the China Proteomic Center is built for creating the innovative drugs at lower costs in Beijing, China that would help to fight against the liver diseases.
