European Blowouts for $1,000 a Couple
Article Abstract:
The early 1980s saw the dollar remain very strong, in relation to many foreign curriencies, and this offered Americans the chance to enjoy foreign travel at relatively economic prices. In 1984, however, things may change, and by 1985, cheap foreign vacations may be a thing of the past. 'Money' magazine has, therefore, done some research, and outlined one week vacation plans which (exclusive of airfare) will cost about one thousand dollars a couple. The cities included in these vacation values are London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, and Vienna. The trips include first class meals and accomodations, and trips which can be taken on the side.

The Ins and Outs of Annuities
Article Abstract:
Although in theory, a tax-deferred annuity is supposed to be a good investment, saving tax dollars now and producing income later, they can have many problems, including small returns, steep handling costs, and questionable safety. In addition, there are much better ways to invest in deferred taxable programs, such as an IRA. But should an annuity sound interesting, some preliminary investigation and shopping around should help find an annuity which is safe, and there are published lists which can help determine the best rates for fees and yields.
