FACT is an automated accounting system available from CMG of Great Britain that provides a two-way linkage with Lotus 1-2-3 to generate management and accounting reports for a multi-user system. FACT sells for 3,000 pounds sterling in the single-user version and 5,250 pounds for multi-user versions, with additional support expenses averaging between 70 and 90 pounds per month. FACT operates on IBM XTs and compatibles, is completely menu-driven, easy to operate, and capable of maintaining various accounting records related to sales, purchases, inventories, nominal ledgers and fixed assets. The instructional documentation available with the system, on-screen help messages, report generating capabilities and security features receive high ratings from the reviewer.
