Good vibrations
Article Abstract:
Mayflower is acquiring Pullman Co which produces vibration control parts for automobiles through Clevite. Mayflower plans a rights issue to fund the deal which gives Mayflower access to markets like Mexico and Brazil. Mayflower also increases its range, and car manufacturers are seeking to reduce the number of suppliers they deal with. Pullman's liabilities will reduce Mayflower's net assets but should reduce Mayflower's tax bill, while Mayflower will be able to cut costs.
