Gaining confidence in high-throughput protein interaction networks
Article Abstract:
A quantitative method to evaluate proteomics is developed and a logistic regression approach that uses statistical and topological descriptors to predict the biological relevance of protein-protein interactions obtained from high-throughput screens for yeast is presented. The analysis presented helps in analyzing the growing amount of genomic and proteomics data in model organisms and humans.

Closing the circle of osmoregulation
Article Abstract:
A mathematical model integrates the major components in the response to hyperosmotic shock in yeast, from the osmosensor at the membrane, to signal transduction, to gene regulation of metabolism. A description of the feedback effect of internal glycerol levels on osmotic pressure and cellular volume is included.
