Genetic algorithms applications in the analysis of insolvency risk
Article Abstract:
Genetic algorithms (GAs) proved to be an extremely useful tool in risk of insolvency analysis. As opposed to discriminant analysis, GAs renders it feasible to realize maximized linear functions which do not rely on restrictive statistical premises in relation to the normality of the distributions of the ratios or the parity of the variances/co-variances matrix.
