The Fuji Frontier is more than just a photo minilab, being able to handle jobs that were considered complex in the past, according to Manny Almeida, general manager of Fuji Photo Films. Almeida adds that the Frontier can make prints at a lower cost than was possible in the past. The machine also makes excellent prints since it comes with a laser engine system, and with the way it scans the image and then uses the three-color laser to image the scan onto the photographic paper.
