Babcock
Article Abstract:
Babcock reported a rise in profit of a fifth for the six moths to Sep 1996, excluding a pension credit of 2 million pounds sterling and disposal proceeds from 1995. Materials handling has been restructured and moved back into profit, and Facilities Management reported a rise in profit of 30% in this period. There were losses for the African, Environmental and Process Engineering divisions. Babcok aims to make them profitable but may be better off disposing of them.
