HBO injects new substance into hospital info systems

HBO and Co posted a 74% earning rise for the 3rd qtr Sep 1992 and a 17% increase in revenues. The satisfactory cash flow for 3rd qtr 1992 led to the early payment of the firm's remaining $7 million long-term debt. HBO Pres and CEO Charles W. McCall is mainly responsible for attaining the debt-free status of the hospital computer information system supplier. Analyst Satish Tyagi is projecting a margin improvement and continued rise in earnings from 1992 to 1994. Analyst Alfred Tobia is also bullish about the stock. HBO has a 30-cent dividend on its 15.3 million shares.
