Hallmark Crown stores host multi-faceted promo

Hallmark has just concluded a successful cross-promotional effort. The firm, in partnership with Crayola and the Yahooligans children's Internet site, used national advertising as well as special in-store signage and point-of-purchase displays to invite mothers and children to roughly 4,800 Hallmark Gold Crown stores. The mothers and children could participate in supervised arts and crafts activities, take advantage of special product promotions and enter a nationwide birthday card design contest.

Hallmark has developed the 'Expressions from Hallmark' line to provide retailers with a brand which leverages the powerful hallmark name. Expressions from Hallmark is designed for time-pressed shoppers and is designed to serve mass distribution channels including supermarkets, discount stores and drug stores. It has redefined card departments that have been specifically designed for the mass channel by providing them with Hallmark quality.

Hallmark celebrates one-in-a-million mom

Hallmark Cards launched the 'One-In-A-Million-Mom' promotion for Mother's Day 2001. The promotion offered mothers the chance to win $1 million by joining three events. These were the One-In-A-Million Mom Mother's Day Card Game, the One-In-A-Million Mom Mother's Day Chocolates Game and an essay writing contest. A free ten-minute prepaid phone card was also included in every box of specially marked Hallmark Assorted Chocolates.
