Insider preview for companies reporting week of January 29
Article Abstract:
Many companies listed in Standard and Poor's 500-Stock Price Index have yet to announce their earnings. For companies that have already reported earnings, including Intel, Caterpillar and IBM, stock prices went up by as much as 10% in a single day. Despite brisk insider trading in companies that have yet to release financial reports, investors should still be cautious since most insiders trade on the basis of their expectations of long-term earnings.
