Humor big winner in 3M campaign
Article Abstract:
3M Co. and Kerker & Associates ad agency won the 1996 Sawyer Award for their humorous 'Science of Staining' advertising campaign for Scotchgard Protector. The campaign features a nerd-looking scientist who conducts an experiment about the tendency of pizza to land face down and of white cotton's magnetic attraction to red wine. These ads persuade apparel makers to use Scotchgard fabric protector for easy washing of fabric stains.
