Implications of nonlinear dynamics for financial risk management
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the relation between nonlinear dynamics and financial risk management is presented. It is shown that log pricechanges which exhibit independent and identical distributions generate greater accuracy for conditional densities. Daily log price changes are easily determined through autoregressive applications. In addition, these log price variations may be applied to financial risk analyses.
