Agribusiness firms: location determinants and economic contribution
Article Abstract:
Data provided by 297 firms were used to evaluate the location determinants and economic contribution of agribusiness firms compared with other types of firms in the Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota areas. The study also included manufacturing and export-oriented service firms. The study revealed that location selection factors varied among different agribusiness types and between agribusinesses and other firms. It was also determined that while agribusinesses hired fewer workers at higher wages, this generated multiplier effects in the local and state economies.

Success factors affecting computer-based information system performance in agribusiness
Article Abstract:
A survey of managers of computer-based information systems indicates that the success of an information system is affected by the degree to which certain critical success factors are present. Although each group of users' needs will differ, the three factors generally found most important were quality of system output, system responsiveness, and user involvement. It is recommended that managers of information systems pay close attention to maintaining the quality of these critical success factors in their systems.
