UK to pursue contract clinical trials

The UK government's proposal to offer clinical trials was to provide local biotech companies with a competitive advantage, and to put the country on the map of clinical trial providers. The idea of creating the National Clinical Trials Agency (NCTA) that is sponsored by Department of Health came after the key recommendation of Bioscience Innovation and Growth Team (BIGT) report.
